What is a DPF Filter?

DPF stands for Diesel particulate filter, these are fitted on diesel engine vehicles to reduce emissions by collecting carbon particles. Overtime these filters become blocked and are usually advised to be serviced or replaced.
However here at Carbon Busters we have a fast and cost effective solution to completely clean your filter without the need to replace.

 

The Carbon-Busters Process

Once the DPF has been removed from your vehicle and arrives with us the process can begin.

Flow Test : Prior to any cleaning we will perform an air flow test and visual inspection using an Endoscope to ensure there are no damages to the filter before we start the clean. If upon inspection there are no blockages we will advise for you to arrange collection of the filter free of charge. Also if filter is damaged before clean we cannot perform the clean but will be able to offer an competitive alternative solution of new or used DPF.

Cleaning : We perform the clean using the Heavy Duty Commercial DCS-20 DPF machine. This machine uses aqueous technology and specialist chemicals to clean up to 99% of excess soot particles, these trapped particles will be economically deposited from the filter through our specialist filtration system, which is then disposed of after every clean.

Drying & Quality Control : Temperature controlled air flow is then used to dry and ensure flow rate has been restored back to factory specification. One final flow test is then performed and inspection carried out to confirm desired results have been achieved.
